After the snowfall, central Sofia looked unusually quiet from above. The illuminated Alexander Nevsky Cathedral stood in the middle of the snow-covered square, while the city lights continued towards Vitosha beneath a low band of clouds. One of Sofia’s most recognizable landmarks appeared that night as the calm centre of the entire city.
