About this photograph

Before climbing the wooden stairs beside Orpheus Waterfall, I turned to their right and carefully crossed the rocks to reach its base. From below, the full scale of the nearly 68-metre waterfall becomes much easier to appreciate as the water spreads across the steep rock face. Reaching this viewpoint requires particular care because the stones beside the stream are wet and extremely slippery.
